Cereal Hopper Transporter

Produced for a leading manufacturer of breakfast cereals the transporter was designed to transport and position giant Cereal Hoppers

Mounted on a mobile support frame the hoppers weigh approx 500kg and measure 2 metre in diameter by 2 metre high.

The Cereal Hopper Transporter has electrically powered propulsion with hydraulically opereated lift and lowering of the main gripping arm assembly.

A secondary function has been incorparated used to withdraw the hoppers slide plate facilitating the release of cereal from the hooper.

The hopper containing bulk cereal is transported into position over feed chutes recessed into the suspended floor area over the cereal packing line where the cereal is released from the hopper to feed the production line.

Operation

The fully powered transporters gripping arm with swivel location bracket is connected to the Cercal Hoppers support frame.

Once engaged the Hopper can be transported and positioned over the feed chute ready to release its contents to the Cereal packaging Line on the lower floor.

When in position over the feed chute the cereal is released by withdrawing the slide plate at the base of the hopper.

A hydraulically operated control arm is extended and engaged with the hopper slide plates handle and then actuated to retract and withdraw the slide plate from the hopper releasing the cereal into the feed chute.
